Epoxy MIO Micaceous Iron Oxide Intermediate Coat

2K SOLVENTBORNE EPOXY MIO MIDCOAT

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This is a two-component polyamine-cured coating. It is a micaceous iron oxide (MIO) pigmented, fast-drying, high-solids, high-build epoxy product. It offers good leveling and improved film appearance. Designed as a midcoat in systems for new construction in atmospheric environments. Suitable in approved coating systems.

FEATURES & APPLICATION

  • Excellent water and salt resistance;

  • Dry film is tough, strong, and wear-resistant;

  • Easy to reach high thickness and good application properties;

  • Excellent anti-corrosion properties;

  • Long over-coating interval, thus a wider working window;

  • Less burn during gas-cutting and welding;

  • Good compatibility with various topcoats.

It's mainly used on steel surface sprayed with zinc-rich primer, has excellent adhesion with primer and top coat.It can be used for steel structures and steel supports of various power equipment in substations, iron towers of transmission lines; easily rusted cast iron or steel components such as buildings, bridges, ships, etc.; steel structure of power plant cooling towers, desulfurization flues, the main powerhouse, coal transport trestle, dry coal awning, etc.
